<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a contour extraction method of an image used in diagnostic imaging, without having to use a threshold method. <P>SOLUTION: Edge enhancement processing is applied to projection data collected from a subject and image data containing sinogram created from the projection data, and differential processing of counting number is applied to the image data after edge enhancement, and edge extraction is performed. A contour image of the subject is formed by performing 360° back projection using an approximated curve obtained, by performing curve approximation based on the extracted edge. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
