摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of tracking down the position of a magnetic source, in relation to a computer support operation system generally used in implementation of an orthopedic technique. <P>SOLUTION: The method of tracking down the position of the magnetic source comprises the step of measuring a magnetic field produced by the magnetic source, and the step of seeking the component of a three-dimensional magnetic flux density of the magnetic field in many points in space, based on such a measurement. This method further comprises the step of deducing the position of the magnetic source, and the step of seeking the component of theoretical three-dimensional magnetic flux density at many points in space, based on a deduced position. Then, the position of the magnetic source can be tracked, by suppressing the difference in the measured component and the theoretical three-dimensional magnetic flux density component that corresponds to these, to a minimum. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
