<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inorganic fine particle dispersion having the stabilized viscosity of a coating liquid for an ink receiving layer and to provide an inkjet recording medium using the coating liquid for the ink receiving layer with the stabilized viscosity. <P>SOLUTION: In the method of manufacturing the inorganic fine particle dispersion, the dispersion includes at least one kind selected from the group comprising an inorganic fine powder, a silane coupling agent, a basic inorganic salt, and ammonia and the pH of the dispersion is adjusted by at least one kind selected from the group comprising an inorganic fine powder dispersion of pH of 5.0 or lower, a basic inorganic salt, and ammonium. In the method of manufacturing the inkjet recording media, the inkjet recording media includes at least one kind selected from the group comprising an inorganic fine powder, a silane coupling agent, a basic inorganic salt, and ammonia, and uses an inorganic fine powder dispersion of pH of 5.0 or lower.
