PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent knocking of a gas engine in advance and perform stable and efficient operation. SOLUTION: This device is provided with knocking degree detection means 26, 28 detecting knocking degree which indicates degree of knocking for each cylinder 2, a controller 40 calculating evaluation knocking frequency which indicates frequency of events in which knocking degree detected by the knocking degree detection means exceeds predetermined knocking degree, and knocking prevention means 18, 32, 20, 30 capable of taking measures to prevent knocking for each cylinder based on command of the controller. The controller makes the knocking prevention means take measures to prevent knocking for each cylinder when a value relating to the evaluation knocking frequency exceeds the predetermined frequency.
