PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intermediate transfer belt for an image forming apparatus which has superior compatibility between carbon black and polyimide, and also has superior uniformity of electric characteristics, and belt strength and flexibility by improving the electric characteristics and mechanical characteristics of the intermediate transfer belt, and an image forming apparatus mounted with the intermediate transfer belt. SOLUTION: The intermediate transfer belt for the image forming apparatus which is manufactured by a centrifugal molding method by diluting carbon black dispersion liquid consisting of surface-processed carbon black, a dispersant, and a solvent with a solvent is mainly a polyimide intermediate transfer belt characterized in that the carbon black has a difference of±0.1μm in volume average particle size after the dilution.
