PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attach a metadata on a time axis to a music piece data by extracting a beat position and a head position of a bar in musical rhythm with high accuracy. SOLUTION: At least two points Z1 and Z2 which are heads of the bar are indicated on the music piece data, and the number of bars existing in an interval between the indicated points Z1 and Z2 is input, and thereby, a bar length LBar and a beat length Lb are calculated. Based on the calculated bar length LBar and the beat length Lb, the metadata on the time axis is attached by extracting the head position of the bar and the beat position with high accuracy.
