PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a proofreading system capable of quickly transmitting proofreading information and making contents of the proofreading information easily understandable. SOLUTION: The DTP (disk top publishing) proofreading system comprises an electronic pen holding electronic pen data including results obtained, by reading dots of a transparent printing medium or a translucent printing medium with dots of special arrangement are printed; a coordinates data preparing means for acquiring the result obtained by reading the dots, selecting a coordinates value with reference to a correspondence table and preparing coordinates data; a proofreading information image generating means for acquiring the coordinates value of the coordinates data and generating proofreading information images; an edition image generating means, for receiving an input of edition original identification information, acquiring edition data corresponding to the input with reference to the edition data and generating an edition image; and an edition screen displaying means for displaying the stored proofreading information image and the edition image.
