PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an onboard database system which does not transmit useless data to an onboard LAN, and an onboard database distribution node. SOLUTION: The onboard database system comprises an ECU, a plurality of database distribution nodes for transmitting and receiving data to/from the ECU, and a transmission line for connecting the database distribution nodes. Each database distribution node comprises a processing part with a database for recording required update data and aging data indicating time after the update data are updated of the data received from the ECU or the other database distribution nodes, an ECU side transmission/reception means for transmitting and receiving the update data to/from the ECU connected with the processing part, and a distribution node side transmission/reception means for transmitting and receiving the update data between the processing part and the processing part of the other database distribution nodes. The processing part performs management such that the update data are kept in the latest state by using the aging data and the update data are transmitted at a timing at which the ECU needs them.
