PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition which maintains low temperature flexibility and breaking characteristics and improves a wet grip property, and to provide a pneumatic tire using the same. SOLUTION: This rubber composition containing≥30 mass% of natural rubber in a rubber component is characterized by containing liquid natural rubber having a weight-average mol.wt. of 5,000 to 40,000 and obtained by depolymerizing natural rubber.
