PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing coke making it possible to enhance coke strength even when an inert component runs short in designing blending of raw material coal. SOLUTION: In producing coke by carbonizing the raw material coal made by blending two or more species of coal in a predetermined ratio, when the amount of the inert component in the raw material coal runs short for the predetermined amount of the inert component based on the raw material coal blending design, dust coke is added to the raw material coal up to the predetermined amount of the inert component.
