METHOD FOR IN VITRO PROLIFERATION OF MALE GERMLINE STEM CELLS

It is intended to provide a method for proliferating male germline stem cells which comprises culturing the male germline stem cells in a medium containing FGF. Use of this method makes it possible to stably and efficiently proliferate male germline stem cells regardless of animal species. Moreover, use of this method makes it possible to stably and efficiently proliferate male germline stem cells regardless of the age of the animal from which testis cells origin. In particular, it becomes possible thereby to establish male germline stem cells from testis cells of a prenatal animal at a high efficiency.
