An adaptor (2) for making a sealed connection between a first pressurised container (4) and a second container (6) so that fluid (8) under pressure is able to be transferred without loss from the first container (4) to the second container (6): the first container (4) comprising an outlet (10) having a cylindrical valve member (12) which is normally closed and which is depressed in a direction towards the first container (4) for permitting the fluid (8) to flow from the first container (4); the second container (6) comprising an inlet (14) having a cylindrical valve member (16) which is normally closed and which is depressed in a direction towards the second container (6) for permitting the fluid (8) to flow into the second container (6); and the adaptor comprising a first end (18) for making sealing contact with the outlet (10) of the first container (4), a second end (20) for making sealing contact with the inlet (14) of the second container (6), and a bore (22) extending between the first end (18) and the second end (20).
