<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power conversion equipment using electric double layer capacitor that converts AC power from AC power source to DC power by a rectifier, converting again to AC power by an inverter to feed AC loads, and eliminates the need for a chopper that has been used for utilizing electric power accumulated in an electric double layer capacitor at a constant voltage without deteriorating output performance of AC loads. <P>SOLUTION: An electric double layer capacitor 130 is directly connected to a DC circuit between a rectifier 110 and an inverter 120 without a chopper intervention, and a predetermined minimum permissible voltage higher than a voltage required by the inverter 120 in properly driving AC loads is set for the electric double layer capacitor 130, and a controller 150 performs a control so as to cause electric power accumulated in the electric double layer capacitor 130 to discharge to the inverter 120 within a voltage range of greater than the minimum permissible voltage. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
