Self-hardening, two component-dental material (I) comprises a powder component containing dicalcium phosphate-anhydrate (DCPA) or dicalcium phosphate-dihydrate and tetracalcium phosphate; and a liquid component containing water and a complex-former, where the DCPA is a crystalline DCPA with a crystal shape typical for brushite, which is used as wafer that contains iron and manganese with a content of less than 0.2 m% (200 ppm), respectively.
