<p>An IC card (1) having communicating functions (111, 112) that involve a plurality of communication systems makes one of the communication systems effective and resets a counter (401) when a communication start request from an external device (2, 3) is received via communication by the above communication system. In this state, the IC card (1) determines whether or not the count of the counter (401) is set to be not smaller than a preset upper limit stored in a data memory (102) each time a command is received from the external device (2, 3). When the count of the counter (401) is smaller than the preset upper limit, the IC card performs a process corresponding to the received command and increments the counter (401). When the count of the counter (401) is equal to or larger than the preset upper limit, the IC card inhibits a process for the command received from the external device (2, 3) from being performed.</p> |
