A wire feeding system comprising first 12, second 14 wire grippers and a cutter 20, wherein the second wire gripper 14 is a static gripper positioned at or near one end of a panel to be assembled, and the first wire gripper 12 is moveable reciprocally between first and second positions, in the first position the first wire gripper 12 being positioned at or near the other end of the panel and being adapted to grip and to draw a continuous length of wire 18 towards the second wire gripper 14, the second wire gripper 14 grips the wire 18 delivered by the first wire gripper 12, the first wire gripper 12 releases the wire 18 and moves back to the first position, once in the first position the first wire gripper 12 clamps and tensions the wire 18, when the wire 18 is secured to the panel the cutter 20 cuts the wire 18 from the feeding system, so that the wire 18 is severed from the remaining continuous length of wire. |
