Sensors are used to record temperature at different locations on the silo roof and optionally on the silo walls and at least one sensor is used to record humidity, allowing a computer to predict whether it is likely that condensation will occur. The computer can then automatically start a ventilation fan or send a signal to an operator instructing them to start this fan.
