A method for controlling heating rate of heating continuous furnace, in which method technological parameters are given based on heat balance of heating continuous furnace according to the criterion of coefficient of use of fuel heat, delivery of gaseous fuel and air is carried out according to consumption providing burning thereof by limiting accessible coefficient of air consumption of ?=1.05 and lining temperature of working place of furnace, in the course of fuel delivery technological parameters are continuously measured in the zones of furnace, technological parameters are compared with prescribed ones, and in the case of fluctuation of measured technological parameters from prescribed ones, consumption of gaseous fuel being delivered to the furnace is corrected.
