The invention relates to technology of electrochemical preparation of sodium hypochlorite solutions of high purity without admixtures of sodium chlorite, chlorate and can be used in medicine as disinfectant, pharmaceutical composition for internal cavitary and external application, and also for disinfection of surfaces of equipment and rooms in their sanitary treatment with the purpose of infections prophylaxis of bacterial and viral aetiologies. A process for preparation of solution of sodium hypochlorite of medicinal destination is performed by treatment of isotonic solution of sodium chloride in electrolyzer of running type with titanium cathode and anode. Novel is use of anode made of titanium covered with the layer of ruthenium (IV) modified with ionogenic polymer, and also that the treatment itself is carried out continuously, adjusting the rate of solution flow and current charge in the mode of stabilization so that to obtain sodium hypochlorite solution with concentration of 200-1000 mg/l without admixtures of ions of chlorates and chlorites at a value of pH in the range between 6 and 8, having resistance to storage. There is obtained a stable solution of sodium hypochlorite of high purity, productivity and the term of storage of original product, and also in realizing such process electric energy costs are increased.
