The proposed modulation and polarization biological transducer contains a source of polarized optical radiation, a quarter-wave retarder, a quartz modulator of polarized radiation, a total-reflection prism, and a photodetector. One of the prism surfaces is coated with material that is sensitive to resonance radiation. The photodetector is designed for measuring the intensity of the radiation that is reflected from the prism surface that is sensitive to resonance radiation. The modulator and the quarter-wave retarder are installed between the source of polarized optical radiation and the prism.The modulator is installed near the radiation source so that the longitudinal axis of the modulator is arranged in the vertical plane.
