ENDOPROSTHESIS OF BACKBONE SEGMENT AND METHOD FOR ITS MANUFACTURE

An endoprosthesis of the backbone segment is designed as the hollow rod filled with the bone mass with through side openings and coated with biologically inert material, namely the ceramic mass 0.4-1.2 mm in thickness. A method for manufacturing the endoprosthesis of the backbone segment comprises generating the openings in the wall and coating the rod with the biologically inert material. Prior to coating, the cylindrical reflecting screen is installed inside coaxially with 1-2 mm gap relative to the internal surface of the rod. Upon coating, the screen is removed. The coating is provided by gas detonation technique.
