Produced from a steel band (2), in-going material (1) carries parts (3) made from cutting material on a front side at those points, which form teeth tips (41) for a saw (4) made from them. Cutting material parts are applied with no gaps to the steel band on the front side at those points, in which areas there are teeth tips on the saw band. The cutting material parts are welded to the band. An independent claim is also included for a method for producing in-going material for a disk/band-saw blade with saw teeth that have areas for teeth tips made from hard abrasion-proof material.
