A desk having a reading board is provided to achieve the smooth maintenance of a folded state by using a locking device, and to fix the pages of a book easily and strongly. A desk having a reading board comprises: a desk body, configured in such a manner that an upper plate(4) and a receiving box are supported by many legs; an installation space(10), configured in such a manner that a part of the upper plate(4) is depressed from a plate surface up to a determined depth; a case member(20), installed inside the installation space(10); a reading board(30), formed in a thin plate shape, and connected to the case member(20) in a swivelled manner by using a hinge axis(40) so that it is unfolded at a determined angle against the case member(20) or folded with the latter(20); a spring member(50), arranged in the hinge axis(40) and applying an elastic force in the direction that the reading board(30) is unfolded; and a locking device(60), maintaining the reading board(30) in the folded state.
