A system and a method for providing a web service providing various information of unstructured web documents and databases in the web are provided automatically to extract structured information, which is requested from a user or the system, from the various information distributed over the Internet, and integrally offer the extracted information to the user or the system in a ubiquitous or next generation web environment. An information collector(10) periodically collects contents of the external unstructured web documents/databases based on collection target information. An information converter(20) converts the collected documents/contents into a standard term or markup language format. An information storing part(30) stores the standardized documents/contents to an information database(40) by forming a search index and generating a service name. A virtual web service provider(50) converts the information stored in the information database into a web service type and provides the web service. The collection target information includes connection information and schedule information.
