An apparatus and a method for measuring flow rate of water are provided to minimize error according to friction by applying rotating force and to store measured flow rate of water by using wired/wireless network. An apparatus for measuring flow rate of water includes a measuring unit(20), a detecting unit, a displaying unit(40), and a housing(12). The measuring unit includes a first magnetism unit, a cam, a cam housing, and a cam housing cover. The cam contains water from an inflow hole. The cam housing contains the cam. The cam outflows the water from the inner cam housing through an eccentric motion. The detecting unit transfers the eccentric motion of the cam. The displaying unit displays moving flow rate of water by using rotation force applied from the detecting unit. The housing includes the measuring unit, the detecting unit, and the displaying unit. The housing connects an external device to inflow and outflow the water. |
