An exhaust gas receiver for a large-sized two-stroke diesel engine is provided to operate all cylinders of the engine approximately at the maximum level by equalizing the thermal loads applied to the cylinders. An exhaust gas receiver(16) includes at least one adjacent compartment(26), at least one distal end compartment(30), and one or more middle compartments(27,29). The exhaust gas receiver includes a plurality of exhaust gas inlets(24) arranged in the longitudinal direction and an exhaust gas outlet(35) formed in one lengthwise end, and a pressure distributing pipe(33). The pressure distributing pipe connects the exhaust gas outlet to at least one of the compartments.
