A steam generator for steamed rice cake including a supplementary water preheating system is provided to prevent the sudden drop in water temperature caused by indraft of supplementary water, thereby dispensing with the installation of a supplementary heater, and also to enable the operation of the steam generator by using only supplied power without construction for power boosting. A steam generator for steamed rice cake comprises: a heating container(40) having a fixed space part inside; a heater(21) being installed in the heating container(40) and operated by power; a water supply pipe(22a) which is attached at the lower side of the heating container(40) for supplying water into the heating container(40), and which has a water supply pump(22) being operated by power; a water level sensor(23c) detecting the water level in the heating container(40); steam outlets(42a,42b) through which the steam generated in the heating container(40) is ejected; a pressure sensor(24) detecting the pressure in the heating container(40); and a control device(30) which is operated by the signals detected by the water level sensor(23c) and the pressure sensor(24), and which controls the operations of the heater(21) and the water supply pump(22). In the steam generator, the supplementary water preheating system comprises: a preheating tank(50) which is installed at the water supply pipe(22a) and includes a preheater(51) and a temperature sensor(52) inside; and a chamber which is combined with a transfer pipe(53) guiding the water preheated in the preheating tank(50) and includes a outlet pipe ejecting the water into the heating container(40), wherein the temperature sensor(52) detects the water temperature heated by the preheater(51) and then sends the detected signal to the control device(30), thereby controlling the power being supplied to the preheater(51). |
