A method of manufacturing sugar with a coating layer of green tea is provided, which provides sugar coated with green tea having excellent sensory characteristics without off-flavors and containing active ingredients intact. A sugar with a coating layer of green tea comprises: green tea and sugar flakes containing 100 parts by weight of sugar and 0.02 to 50.1 parts by weight of green tea component; and 0.02 to 6.5% by weight of a coating layer of green tea powder formed on the green tea and sugar flakes. The sugar with the coating layer of green tea can contain 0.01 to 1 parts by weight of coating film of green tea components on the coating layer of green tea powder. |
