<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To print a page image by minimizing a blank part, when printing page images of independent jobs, each covering a different number of sheets from each other, arranged side by side on the sheet. <P>SOLUTION: When a first job and a second job are printed in parallel according to the setting by a parallel printing mode setting part 170, the minimum number of sheets necessary for printing is calculated by a part 171 for calculating the number of printing sheets after acquiring the number of copy pages of the respective jobs. Further, page images of the first job are arranged in the order of copy pages, starting with the first column (left side) of the first sheet at a printing image data generation part 14. After that, the page images are arranged on the first columns of all the sheets, and then arranged in the second column (right side) of the first sheet.
