<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile terminal capable of suppressing recording a broadcasting content and impairing it caused by insufficient capacity of a secondary battery, and to provide a recording reservation method for the broadcasting contents. <P>SOLUTION: A mobile terminal 100 comprises a recording schedule managing means 20 for managing reservation information, including a date/time of recording start and recording end of broadcasting contents, a recording means 30 for recording the broadcasting contents based on the reservation information, a battery residual quantity detecting means 40 for detecting the residual capacity of a secondary battery, a battery capacity determining means 50, and a charging schedule proposing means 60. The battery capacity determining means 50 computes the required recording capacity of the secondary battery necessary for recording of the broadcasting content based on the reservation information; compares the residual capacity with the required recording capacity to determine whether the residual capacity is smaller than the required recording capacity; and computes the capacity shortage of the residual capacity, with regard to the required recording capacity, if it is determined that the residual capacity is smaller than the recording capacity required.
