A cooling water supply apparatus for a power plant is provided to supply cooling water stably by including a spare water-intake fan and an emergency water-intake fan as well as an operational water-intake fan. A cooling water supply apparatus for a power plant includes a water-intake header, connecting pipes(28a,28b), two electric valves(29a,29b), an emergency water-intake fan, operational water-intake fans(21,23), spare water-intake fans(22,24), a water-intake pipe, and valves(26a,26b). The electric valves are mounted on the water-intake header. The emergency water-intake fan supplies the seawater to the water-intake header. The water-intake pipe supplies the seawater taken by the emergency water-intake fan, the operational water-intake fan, and the spare water-intake fan to the water-intake header. The valves are adapted to open and close a seawater passage of the water-intake pipe.
