PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image pickup device that corrects image distortion due to camera shake when using a CMOS sensor. SOLUTION: A portable telephone terminal 100 is provided with the image pickup device 1. An image pickup part 11 is internally provided with the CMOS sensor in the image pickup device 1 so as to image a subject through a lens 10. A vibration detection part 15 detects vibration of the portable telephone terminal 100. A correction part 14 detects a part, where a vibration speed becomes slow in the same vibration direction, on the basis of the vibration detected by the vibration detection part 15 when the image pickup part 11 starts the imaging in order to correct a starting time point of an image pickup cycle of the image pickup part 11 so that a pixel at the center of an image is imaged at the detected part.
