PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet printer which prevents ink leakage from being caused by air intrusion in the mounting of an ink cartridge. SOLUTION: In this inkjet printer, an ink supply passage 14 for making a recording head and an ink chamber in the ink cartridge 5 communicate with each other, which includes an ink introduction passage 11, is constituted by connecting an ink supply port 51a of the ink cartridge 5 and a joint part 8 which communicates with a recording head, equipped with a nozzle for emitting a jet of ink, via the ink introduction passage 11. The ink supply passage 14 is provided with a pressure-rising absorbing means 15 for suppressing a rise in pressure by being deformed toward the outside of the ink supply passage 14, in accordance with the rise in the pressure, caused by the intrusion of the air into the ink supply passage 14, in the connection between the joint part 8 and the ink supply port 51a of the ink cartridge 5.
