PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a service providing system, gateway equipment, and a control method and a control program for simplifying the registration of the service use ID of service use equipment. SOLUTION: This service providing system includes a gateway 6 for associating service use ID 101 for using service information 150 provided by a service providing server 2 through the Internet 8 to a printer 3 with the printer 3 for management, and for transmitting service information 150 transmitted from the service providing server 2 to the printer 3. When the printer 3 to which a card writer 4 in which an IC card 5 in which the service use ID 101 is recorded is set is connected exists in the intranet 10, the local address of the printer 3 and service use ID 101 are acquired, and associated with each other for storage.
