PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink ribbon cartridge in which engagement between an upper shell and a lower shell is not easily released, and which can cope with a falling-down accident during storing and transporting, an intentional illegal conversion or the like. SOLUTION: The ink ribbon cartridge is equipped with a cartridge main body 13 prepared by butting and connecting a pair of upper and lower shells 21 and 22, and a pair of storing parts 23 and 24 which are provided in the cartridge main body 13 and in which a pair of spools 11 and 12 wound with an ink ribbon 10 are stored. The upper shell 21 and the lower shell 22 are equipped with an engaging mechanism 30 which is equipped with a hooking nail 51 which is stood toward the other side on either one of them, and on the tip of which a key part 54 is formed, and a regulating piece 57 for regulating inclination of the hooking nail 51, and which has a regulating wall 58 stood in the direction releasing an engagement between a hooking hole 52 to which the key part 54 is hooked and the hooking nail 51 on the other side of either one of them, and preventing the engagement between the hooking nail 51 and the hooking hole 52 from being released by supporting the regulating piece 57.
