<p>The method involves coating a fiber web (1) with a applicator (2), which dispenses aqueous pigment suspension to a web side (1a, 1b), where a coat layer (4) is formed. The coating of the web side is made with a droping or spraying-applicator (2a, 2b) without utilizing a wiper element. A coat weight is applied from 5 to 25 grams/meter square. A contact drying is implemented by a heated casting cylinder (5) if the coated fiber web has a humidity content between 10 and 30 percentage.
