The method involves selecting unstructured text and image data from portable document format (PDF) sides, and transferring data from print-editorial and layout systems in a parallel manner. The text and image data from the PDF sides and the data from the print-editorial and layout systems are combined or aligned in an intelligent manner. Text streams are produced by the data from the print-editorial and layout systems. Text parts are aligned by an algorithm, which compares the text data from the PDF sides with the data from the print-editorial and layout systems.
