<p>The invention concerns an automated system with suspended robot for treating surfaces, in particular of aircraft, comprising a support P consisting of a travelling crane (18), a mobile carriage (16) on the travelling crane (18), and a telescopic mast (14) borne by the carriage (16) and extending downwards of the latter. A treatment robot (10) is supported by the mast (14) at its lower end. The system is equipped with indoor GPS locating means including several transmitters (24) arranged heightwise on columns (26) secured to the ground and independent of a shed in which the treating system is installed, receivers (28) supported by the telescopic mast (14) and receivers (AGR) to be fixed in noticeable points of the object, so as to detect the position of a reference point of the robot (10) in a space of treatment to be measured and the position of noticeable points of the object in said space of treatment, and means for signalling the detected position of the reference point (10) and of noticeable points of the object to a system controlling the support (P) and the robot (10) based on the detected positions and based on the three-dimensional shape of the object stored in the management system.</p> |
