An X-ray CT(Computed Tomography) apparatus is provided to secure the uniformity of image quality of the Z direction of a tomogram in variable pitch helical scanning or helical shuttle scanning. An X-ray CT apparatus(100) includes an X-ray data collecting device, an image reconstructing device(3), an image display device, and a photographing condition setting device(2). The X-ray data collecting device rotates an X-ray generating apparatus and a multi-row X-ray detector(24) around a rotation center, and collects X-ray projection data which transmits an object placed between the X-ray generating apparatus and the multi-row X-ray detector(24). The image reconstructing device(3) performs image reconstruction from the projection data collected from the X-ray data collecting device. The image display device(6) displays a tomogram obtained by the image reconstruction. The photographing condition setting device(2) sets the conditions of photographing the tomogram. The X-ray data collecting device variably moves a photographing table(10) with the relative speed to a scan gantry(20) along the z direction, vertical to an xy plane which is a rotation plane of an X-ray data collection system composed of the X-ray generating apparatus and the 2-D X-ray area detector, and is operated in variable pitch helical scanning which collects the X-ray projection data of the object on the photographing table(10). |
