<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To always obtain appropriate fixation, irrespective of kinds of recording medium. <P>SOLUTION: Regarding the image forming apparatus where an image is formed on the recording medium by fixing a toner image transferred onto the recording medium by a fixing device, a plurality of test patterns are fixed using the recording medium for forming the image while changing a fixing temperature, and the fixing temperature having desired fixation is decided, based on the test pattern, consequently, the good fixing operation is always performed, irrespective of a kind variation in recording medium. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
