<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical receiver with the high freedom of packaging positions of components for compensating a dark current. <P>SOLUTION: The optical receiver has a light receiving element, a plurality of current mirror circuits and a resistor. One terminal of the light receiving element is connected to an input terminal of a current mirror circuit at an initial stage. The plurality of current mirror circuits are provided so that an input terminal of an input line is connected to an output terminal of an output line of a current mirror circuit at a previous stage. The resistor supplies the dark current of the light receiving element and has characteristics that a resistance value decreases accompanied by a temperature rise.
