<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device which can be easily reduced in cost and improved in display quality, and a method for manufacturing the liquid crystal display device. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device is equipped with a plurality of pixel regions 13 formed by being partitioned to each other on a first face 17a of a transparent substrate 17, liquid crystals 23r, 23g and 23b arranged by being partitioned to each other for every pixel region 13, and pixel electrodes driving the liquid crystals 23r, 23g and 23b discretely for every pixel region 13.
