<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decrease the power consumption of a step-up circuit that outputs a voltage for the final stage amplifier of a transmission unit which is not used in reception in a portable radio communication device where a battery is used as a power supply. <P>SOLUTION: The portable radio communication device is equipped with a transmitting/receiving unit which is controlled by switching in such manner that a transmission unit is actuated into a transmitting state when a PTT switch is depressed, and that a receiving unit is actuated into a receiving state while the PTT switch is not depressed; and a step-up circuit which steps up a low voltage supplied from a power source, and supplies the raised voltage to the final stage amplifier. When the transmitting/receiving unit is switched into a receiving state, the voltage supply from the power supply to the step-up circuit is stopped so as to decrease the useless power consumption of the step-up circuit. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
