<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a nucleic acid probe for simply diagnosing a disease or disorder. <P>SOLUTION: The method for detecting a target nucleic acid in a sample comprises (a) a step for bringing a nucleic acid probe containing a promoter sense sequence and a sequence complementary to a target nucleic acid into contact with a sample to form a double strand between the nucleic acid probe and the target nucleic acid, (b) a step for decomposing the single strand of the nucleic acid probe from the 3' terminal of the nucleic acid probe, (c) a step for forming a double strand between the promoter sense sequence and the complementary sequence by addition of a detecting antisense nucleic acid containing a sequence complementary to the promoter sense sequence and an antisense sequence encoding a detecting reporter molecule, (d) a step for transcribing a sequence encoding the detecting reporter molecule by addition of a polymerase to form the detecting reporter molecule and (e) a step for confirming the transcription reaction in the step (d). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
