SOLUTION: In a rotation type storage device, a positioner is provided with a movable projection part for physically destroying the data storage surface of the storage medium, and when a CPU provided in the storage device receives signals for destroying the storage medium, a storage medium rotation motor is driven, the movable projection part is brought into contact with the data storage surface of the storage medium, and the positioner is moved to the storage medium.
