STORAGE SYSTEM AND SCHEDULING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the performance of a storage system by scheduling task processing as well as the entire processing including interrupt processing with a high priority under a multitask environment where the storage system operates on a single processor. SOLUTION: The storage system is mounted with the single processor 21 that operates under the multitask operating system environment. An operating time managing part 240 performs balance adjustment of the ratios of respective processing times of interrupt processing 500 and task processing 600 requested from both the inside and the outside of the storage system so as to converge within a prescribed range.
