PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To flexibly and rapidly cope with function improvement of house equipment or a change of market needs, and to certainly notify abnormality occurrence. SOLUTION: Control and monitoring of the house equipment are performed in each of a plurality of subsystems SS1-SS3, and the plurality of subsystems SS1-SS3 constitute home network using a general-purpose communication protocol. Because cooperation of the subsystems SS1-SS3 is performed via the home network, the change of the market needs or the function improvement of the house equipment can be flexibly and rapidly coped with as compared to a precedent wherein all pieces of the house equipment are connected to one master unit. When abnormality is detected in the security system SS2, not only an alarm is raised by a security receiver SR, but also an alarm is raised by a personal computer PC, a display controller CV, and a cellphone MP or the like, so that the abnormality occurrence can be certainly notified by a plurality of terminal devices.
