PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform space retrieval processing at high speed when space retrieval and subsidiary condition retrieval are simultaneously designated. SOLUTION: By storing one or several attribute conditions (additional information) to be the subsidiary condition other than space information within a space retrieval index of a map database, retrieval of complex conditions of the space retrieval and subsidiary condition retrieval can be performed at high speed only by accessing the space retrieval index without merging results of a plurality of retrieval conditions of DBMS. Also, by storing (n+1)-dimensional information in an n-dimensional space retrieval index as subsidiary attribute data, the (n+1)-dimensional retrieval is possible by the n-dimensional space retrieval index.
