PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop a structure with few freezing and trouble, and to provide a float type drain trap having excellent durability which prevents failure due to freezing by efficiently warming a drain on the inside and a movable part of each constituting component in a low temperature environment prone to freezing and other troubles. SOLUTION: A rotary valve 3 for opening and closing a discharge pipe 2 for discharging drain from a casing 1 for accumulating the drain is provided. An oscillating shaft 5 of a float 4 is connected to the rotary valve 3 and the rotary valve 3 is set as a fulcrum of the float 4. A cartridge heater 6 for sensing the temperature around the casing 1 and heating the drain inside the casing 1 is provided on the bottom of the casing 1. A thermostatic switch 7 for sensing the temperature around the casing 1 is provided. The cartridge heater 6 is energized when the temperature around the casing 1 becomes 0 degrees.
