PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gasket in which falling down of projections of a gasket is not induced and the sealability is not deteriorated due to deterioration of contact face pressure even when the gasket is mounted between members having different thermal expansion coefficients. SOLUTION: The gasket 1 is mounted on one member 2 provided with a groove 21, and is in close contact with a flat surface 31 of the other member 3 different in thermal expansion from the one member 2. The gasket 1 is for sealing a gap in the vertical direction of the both members (2, 3). The two projections 5 are formed in the width direction Y on a contact surface 12 in close contact with at least the other member 3, and the cross sectional shape of the projections 5 is made a trapezoidal shape 41. Further, in the trapezoidal shape 41 of the projections 5, a crossing angleαis set within a range of 50°to 75°, a projection width Wa is set within the range of 5 to 15% of a gasket width Wb, and a center distance Wc between the projections 5 is set within the range of 25 to 50% of the gasket width Wb.
